10 Actors Who Suffered Awful Injuries On Movie Sets

8. Halle Berry - Severe Head Trauma (Catwoman)

It is staggering just how many injuries Halle Berry sustained during the mid 2000s. She must have spent the majority of 2002 walking under a ladder leisurely smashing mirrors whilst a herd of 13 black cats followed her around like some sort of feline Pied Piper.

Take Die Another Day for example: whilst filming in 2002, not only did Berry managed to get a piece of glass stuck in her eye in the famous ice palace scene but she also nearly choked on a fig during a sex scene with Pierce Brosnan.

After that, during the filming of Gothika in 2003, Robert Downey Jr accidentally broke her arm by grabbing it in a different way to how they had previously rehearsed.

Finally, on the set for 2004's Catwoman, Berry was struck on the head when a lighting prop came loose resulting in severe head trauma. She was taken to hospital and discharged eight hours later and, like the trooper she so clearly is, carried on filming the next day with all nine lives still in tact.

Despite her dedication to the role, the film came out to horrible reviews leaving her and everyone involved in the film with another headache to deal with.

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
