32 years after Return Of The Jedi, Harrison Ford returned to reprise his role as the galaxy's most badass smuggler in J.J Abram's The Force Awakens.

This scruffy looking nerf herder thrilled millions of Star Wars fans when it was announced that he would not only be back alongside Chewie, Leia and Luke (kind of), but that he would take up his rightful place in the driving seat of The Millenium Falcon.

Although The Falcon may be able to do The Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs, it proved to be just as susceptible to wear and tear as any old bucket of bolts when a door malfunctioned on The Force Awakens set pinning the 71 year old actor to the floor. The accident resulted in Ford having two broken bones in his leg, a dislocated ankle and severe bruising to his hip.

To add lawsuit to injury, the production company Foodles Production was fined a whopping £1.6 million pounds for breaches in health and safety and undoubtedly left them questioning whether or not two stagehands and a piece of string couldn't achieve the same door opening effect.

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
