8. Brandon Lee Killed By A Prop Gun Malfunction
Who Are They?: The son of martial artist Bruce Lee, who garnered his first bonafide starring role in the movie that also claimed his life, Alex Proyas' stylish thriller The Crow.
Cause of Death: On March 31st, 1993, while filming The Crow, Lee was mortally wounded after a blank cartridge was fired at him from a prop gun, but a bullet was also lodged in the gun barrel, which fired into Lee's chest. The scene being filmed reportedly featured Lee discovering Shelly being beaten and raped, while actor Michael Massee fired a gun at him. The death was ruled an accident, a result of a mix-up between guns, in which a dummy cartridge had not been prepared properly. Lee was buried next to his father, and the bizarre circumstances of both his and his father's demise cause many to continue to speculate about "the Lee family curse".
