10 Actors Who Suffered The Most In 2016

8. Warren Beatty

Johnny Depp Alice
20th Century Fox

Warren Beatty only works on projects that interest him, and that he can have total creative control over; that might be why Rules Don’t Apply is his first movie in 15 years. Another reason for that gap could be that his previous movie – Town & Country – was one of the most expensive flops in movie history, in addition to receiving terrible reviews.

He’s still a Hollywood icon so Rules Don’t Apply - which he wrote, directed, produced and starred in – was highly anticipated. The result was a mildly amuzing romantic comedy, but it hardly set the world on fire. The reviews were mediocre, and it made less than $4 million on a budget of $25m.

Given Beatty’s relaxed work rate this conceivably could be his last movie, and it’s hardly a glittering end to a career that included Bonnie & Clyde or Reds; that said, at least it isn’t Ishtar.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
