Speaking of Michelle Rodriguez, Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich almost quit the series when the first movie was rewritten to feature Rodriguez's character more heavily following her awards buzz for Girlfight in 2000.

Jovovich had to sit down with writer, director and future husband Paul W. S. Anderson and go through each page of the script after the rewrite, pointing out each scene that had been altered to take away her large action setpieces to instead be given to Rodriguez's character.

Jovovich saw the rewrites as a way of capitalising on Rodriguez's "hotness", and felt like her own hotness had "sort of been already four years old by that point". The script was changed after Jovovich threatened to quit, and she would end up staying in the franchise for fourteen years and five more movies.

Chances are I’m watching a movie or replaying Mass Effect rather than doing anything productive.
