10 Actors Who Wanted To Quit Huge Movie Franchises
2. Carl Weathers - Rocky
Disputes with other actors on the set can often lead to serious issues, and Carl Weathers exhibited this when he told the production crew he was prepared to quit the iconic role of Apollo Creed Rocky IV after an incident with co-star Dolph Lundgren.
Lundgren was too aggressive with his moves during the filming of the fight between Apollo and Ivan Drago, throwing Weathers into the corner of the ring. Weathers then proceeded to storm off set.
The film stopped production for four days while Weathers fumed over the incident, and Sylvester Stallone eventually had to step in to calm Weathers down and convince him to stay on the production. Weathers ultimately agreed under the condition that Lundgren would cool his aggression when filming, and the film went ahead as normal.
