7. Ashton Kutcher Developed Pancreatitis - Jobs

John Cena 12 Rounds
Open Road Films

Ashton Kutcher looks so freakishly similar to Steve Jobs as a young man, it was no surprise when he was cast as the Apple co-founder in the 2013 film, Jobs. One eccentric quirk of Jobs that Kutcher attempted to emulate was his diet, which mainly focused on fruit and vegetables. For one week, Kutcher ate nothing but grapes. Another week, he only ate carrots.

Soon after, Kutcher was rushed to the hospital, due to suffering pain in his abdomen. His test results confirmed he was suffering pancreatitis; one of the world's most lethal disorders. You see, fruit contains a sugar called fructose. It's healthy sugar... but it's still sugar. Kutcher consumed so much sugar over several weeks, his pancreas couldn't function.

Sadly, Kutcher's commitment was in vain. His performance was criticised, the film was panned, and it only made a small profit at the box office. In the movie's defence, it earned $42 million, making it slightly more successful than Michael Fassbender's biographical flick, Steve Jobs. However, $42 million isn't a lot of money in the movie industry and definitely not worth losing your life over as Kutcher nearly did.
