10 Actors Who Went Undercover For Famous Movie Roles
4. Tom Cruise Decided To Be A Mailman - Collateral
From one undercover Tom to another, but the chances of this T of the Cruise variety tearing away his disguise at the end of the mission? Impossible. (Sorry, not sorry.)
In one of the oddest instances of undercover work you're ever likely to uncover, the Top Gun and Jerry Maguire leading man decided that if he was to fully embrace the part of a hitman by the name of Vincent for 2004's Collateral then he needed to master the ability to become completely anonymous. Not the easiest task when you possess one of the most recognisable mugs on the planet.
But determined to pull off this difficult feat in public, Cruise disguised himself as a UPS courier in the lead-up to shooting and delivered an unspecified package in real-life. Successfully, I might add. Cruise then went one further and even sat down for a cup of coffee with a random civilian, and absolutely nobody in the vicinity of the megastar was the wiser to who exactly was sat before them.
Vincent would be proud.
