In what many would class as the actor's most adventurous and downright chilling work to date, Under the Skin saw Scarlett Johansson bring to life an alien, under the disguise of an attractive woman, who enjoyed nothing more than preying on Scottish blokes.

Committing to the part in a rather unsettling way over the course of the shoot, director Jonathan Glazer had the Avenger legitimately go undercover for large portions of filming, with Johansson driving around Scotland in a van - all while sporting a brown wig and British accent - as she picked up strangers and lured them into her company.

Thankfully, said dudes weren't then genuinely submerged in ominous liquid like in the flick. Instead they were soon informed as to what was actually going on by the creative team and some of the no doubt embarrassed lads even stuck along for the rest of the ride, shooting further scenes for the film whilst clued up on the fact that they were actually a part of a sinister sci-fi movie.
