10 Actors Who Were Uncredited For Insane Reasons

2. To Avoid A SAG Lawsuit - Bruce Willis (Four Rooms)

1995's black comedy anthology film Four Rooms included a segment written and directed by Quentin Tarantino called "The Man from Hollywood," which sees Bruce Willis appear in the supporting role of director Chester Rush's (Tarantino) foul-mouthed friend Leo.

Willis agreed to play the part as a favour to his friend Tarantino, with whom he of course collaborated on Pulp Fiction just a year prior, and because the film's budget was just a mere $4 million, Willis also performed the role for free.

However, because this flouted SAG rules, which dictate that actors must be paid a minimum daily rate for any work they do, Willis decided to be uncredited to ensure he avoided any litigious action from SAG.

And though SAG indeed agreed to leave Willis alone, the actor's pro-bono contribution to the film didn't much help, as Four Rooms was a box office flop all the same, while earning predominantly negative reviews (though Tarantino's segment did receive some praise).
