With the amount of sheer testosterone pumped into the Fast and Furious franchise, it was always only a matter of time before a few alpha males started to butt heads.

Sure enough, once Dwayne Johnson was added to the mix during the fifth entry in the petrol-fuelled franchise, tensions started to rise between himself and the series' leading man Vin Diesel.

On the back of the two having a few discussions and an important face-to-face confrontation whilst working on The Fate of the Furious, Johnson would add that he realised they had "a fundamental difference in philosophies" when it came to how they "approach moviemaking and collaborating." He would also add, "I'm grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not."

With The Rock appearing in his own successful Fast spin-off in Hobbs & Shaw and not being set to grace the screen in the upcoming Fast 9, there still seems to be a world where Johnson remains a part of the franchise without having to share a set with Diesel. After all, as we've already noted, you can pull off miracles with a little help from a green screen...
