10 Actors Who Will Ruin 2019 Films

6. Ben Schwartz - Sonic The Hedgehog

Ben Schwartz Happy Anniversary
Netflix

Like Kristen Stewart, Ben Schwartz is a fine actor who just doesn't seem remotely well-suited to the role he's playing here.

The Parks and Rec star will provide the voice of Sonic in the gaming icon's live-action-animation hybrid movie, inexplicably replacing Roger Craig Smith, who has been voicing Sonic in countless video games, cartoons and movies for the last eight years.

It's an especially baffling choice as Schwartz is hardly a household name himself, and without the benefit of brand recognition, Smith likely would've been the cheaper option all things considered.

Ultimately fans have an easy familiarity with Smith's portrayal, and hearing a totally new actor playing the part will just prove distracting and odd.

No disrespect to Schwartz, but no matter how hard he tries, he's going to struggle to really capture the authentic spirit of everyone's favourite hedgehog.
