9. Jennifer Lawrence - X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most talented actors of her generation, but when somebody is phoning it in because they're contractually obliged to show up in a sequel, it's difficult to not notice.

The same can be said for Lawrence, who has talked openly about her distaste for the Mystique role over the years (primarily because of the time-consuming nature of the costume, rather than the material), and with the last X-Men instalment, Apocalypse, you could tell she was just there to get the job done and collect a pay packet.

The problem is compounded because Mystique has such an important part to play in this franchise, making the performance even more egregious. For the upcoming Dark Phoenix, the actor allegedly threatened to leave the project if Simon Kinberg wasn't the one directing, eventually signing on for one more movie alongside other franchise staples Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy.

While that could indicate that Lawrence might want to leave the franchise on a high, it could just as easily go the other way.
