10 Actors Who Won't Be Coming Back For Upcoming Sequels

4. Louis C.K. - The Secret Life Of Pets 2

When Illumination's 2016 animation The Secret Life of Pets made an insane $875.5 million worldwide, a sequel was immediately guaranteed, with most of the cast expected to return.

However, following sexual harassment allegations being levelled against star Louis C.K. - who voiced Jack Russell Terrier protagonist Max in the first film - and C.K. subsequently admitting to his actions, he was quickly dropped from the sequel and replaced by Patton Oswalt.

What It Means For The Film:

For starters, keeping Louis C.K. on for the sequel would've been a PR disaster if not a moral one also, so it was clearly the right thing to do from both a business and ethical standpoint.

But Oswalt is a damn fine choice for a replacement, and considering that Louis C.K.'s performance was overshadowed by both Kevin Hart and Jenny Slate the first time around, it's hard to care much about the recast.

Plus, are young kids likely to even notice the switcharoo? Absolutely not.
