4. Hugh Grant - Bridget Jones's Baby
It seems a little bit blasphemous to make a Bridget Jones movie without involving Hugh Grant, but unfortunately the British actor won't be back to reprise his role as the villainous Daniel Cleaver in the third - and presumably final - Bridget Jones flick, due out this year. It's not that Grant wasn't ask to come back, of course, because he totally was; he simply turned down the role as he didn't like the script. In hindsight, and despite the associated disappointment of not having him return, perhaps it's a good thing: would Daniel Cleaver really be a natural element at this late stage in the story, and all these years later? The new film replaces Grant with a new character, an American billionaire played by Patrick Dempsey, who tries to lure Bridget away from Colin Firth's Mark Darcy. So credibility seems to have taken a bit of a nosedive, regardless of Hugh Grant's absence, then.
