1. Nathan Fillion As The Scorpion
I just cant get away from my Firefly obsession. But seriously, Nathan Fillion is a legend. Forget everyone else I mentioned...this is the guy who most needs to get into the MCU. Hes a fan favourite! Hes funny but can he do serious scenes really well. Hes friends with Joss Whedon and we know he doesnt mind doing light entertainment. Hes even got his own cult following demanding that he get involved. The pressure has been on him so much to play a superhero that he has even taken to voicing the Green Lantern on television. Not to mention his recent tweet announcing that hed like to play The Scorpion. I almost fell off my seat. He could play an excellent Ant-Man (as many have shouted all over the IMDb message boards). Hell Id even be okay with him playing Dr. Strange, even though he doesnt look the part. If he really wanted to, I could cope with him playing a villain. Somebody just get this guy in the MCU! Please!
Honourable Mentions
Finally a few honourable mentions to sign off with: Daniel Day-Lewis I think that Daniel Day-Lewis would be an incredible addition to the stellar line up of actors who have given themselves to the MCU so far. And with the recent casting of Robert Redford in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we know that this kind of surprise casting is possible. Still, I think Daniel Day-Lewis is just a little too picky to ever get involved in these films. I mostly just want to see him running around the set believing hes a real superhero. Simon Pegg I very much wanted to include Simon Pegg (who recently joked that he would like to play a villain in Ant Man). But I felt that Alan Tudyk was too similar and, ultimately, he was my favoured choice. In spite of that...I would still love to see Simon Pegg join the MCU. I would really, really love that!
