10 Actors Whose Brilliant Moment Of Improvisation Landed Them The Role

1. Dafne Keen - Logan

We end with the least experienced name on our list, but, don't let her age fool you, Dafne Keen had the wherewithal to know that she had a distinctive tool up her sleeve which would help tattoo her name onto the part of the young mutant, X-23, in James Mangold's 2017 genre-buster, Logan.

In one of the most incredible improvised moments ever to be captured on tape, Keen is seen asking Mangold if she could be given permission to perform the scene in a mixture of Spanish and English. What followed caught Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman, completely off-guard and the two would go back and forth in a magical exchange, with Jackman having no choice but to react in true Logan fashion by demanding the young fire-cracker to 'SHUT THE F**K UP!'

If you listen really closely, you can even hear Jackman slip out of his convincing American accent, as he is clearly more focused on trying to combat the unpredictable star-in-the-making.

The moment eventually found its way into the film itself - which just goes to show you how inspired the choice was - and for an actor at such a tender age to boast that kind of scene-commanding confidence, only adds to the impressiveness of Keen's initiative in the situation.

She would steal the show in Jackman's last outing as the titular anti-hero and this unbelievable moment of improvisation will go down in history as the spark that ignited the young star's rise to superstardom.
