10 Actors Whose Career Has BOMBED After Their Biggest Hit

4. Eva Green - Casino Royale

In another universe, Eva Green's career would've skyrocketed following her coming-out party in 2006, when she played all-timer Bond girl Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale.

An exceptional actress with striking beauty to match, Green is a total package actress with all the skills necessary to become a towering A-lister, and yet, her post-Bond career has seen her perennially cast as the best thing in a bunch of bad movies.

From 2006 to 2015, Green didn't appear in a single well-reviewed film, though she did nevertheless receive praise for her better-than-the-material-deserves performances in Dark Shadows, 300: Rise of an Empire, and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Though Green has found more success recently in the world of TV - scoring a Best Actress Golden Globe nod for her gonzo work on Penny Dreadful - the standing of her filmography doesn't at all reflect her talent.

While several of her blockbuster projects have been moderately successful at the box office - namely Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and Dumbo - the one-two punch of critical and audience approval has been curiously lacking since Casino Royale.
