10 Actors Whose Careers Never Rebounded
8. Charlie Sheen
We're just going to come right out and say it: Charlie Sheen, given his antics, doesn't deserve a career. Sure, he fit in well with coke-addled 80s crowd and had a family legacy to live up to, given that his father had already suffered a heart attack on the set of Apocalypse Now thanks to cocaine and Francis Ford Coppola's guerrilla filmmaking, but then again, so did AIDS and Steely Dan.
If even 1/4 of what the paparazzi and other tabloid media has printed about Sheen is remotely accurate, he's - to put it nicely - a monster. He is Gordon Gekko, not Michael Douglas, a greedy, drug-fueled maniac.
But allegations of physical and mental abuse of his significant others, off-screen bad boy behaviour and general jackassery just doesn't seem enough to get him on the hook. He's a destructive force in society, as well, promoting anti-vaxxer propaganda, the 9/11 truther movement and claiming "alternative" treatments from Mexico for his HIV are what keeps him ticking.
There's a reason we have doctors and science, yet Charlie Sheen lives on, or his sentient Madame Tussaud's wax sculpture has someone switched places with him.
Say this for the man, his public revelation that he is HIV positive did encourage a large percentage of the population to get themselves screened.
