10 Actors Who Will Definitely Win An Oscar One Day
2. Amy Adams
One of the most reliable actresses in Hollywood, it is hard to try and think of a time that Amy Adams has given a bad performance. Another talent that is equally comfortable appearing in studio fare as well as independent features, the 39 year-old has arguably been the most consistent high-profile actress of the 21st Century. After gaining strong notices for supporting roles in Catch Me If You Can, Junebug and Talladega Nights, it was the part of Giselle in Enchanted that really served as a breakthrough to the mainstream. Since then, Adams has been working solidly over the last decade in everything from independent dramas to summer blockbusters and plenty in between. Even though plenty of people get caught up in the fuss surrounding Leonardo diCaprio during Oscar season, it is worth noting that Amy Adams also remains empty handed after five nominations without a win. It is a testament to her ability that she has picked up four nods for Best Supporting Actress and one for Best Actress in just eight years, and given her recent track record it is only a matter of time before she finally captures an Academy Award.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
