10 Actors With Upcoming Projects That Could Make Or Break Their Careers
3. Joseph Gordon-Levitt - Wingmen
The Project
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Channing Tatum are packing their bags and boarding the comedic/musical flight that is Wingmen.
The plot points are being kept pretty close to Gordon-Levitt's chest - who is also directing the feature - but with his and Tatum's talent for laughs, dance routines and the odd tune, this R-rated shot in the dark could be this generations Airplane! 21 Jump Street and Scott Pilgrim writer Michael Bacall is on board with the screenplay, too...
Why It's Make Or Break
Name the last film you saw Joseph Gordon-Levitt in. You're probably gonna fall somewhere between 2016's Biopic on whilstleblower (Edward) Snowden or 2015's R-rated comedy The Night Before, where he puts in two fine showings.
For his last GREAT performance you're going to be looking as far back as 2012's Looper. That he's faded so noticeably is a shame because he was riding a wave of momentum off the back of Inception and The Dark Knight Rises but it seems his dabbles into the world of drama and independent film making have left him as an after-thought to the average movie-goer.
He has quite a few strings to his bow and is a talented dancer and entertainer and in the current climate of hit musical offerings, such as Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman, this is an oppurtunity for Gordon-Levitt to mix-up the formula and save his evaporating movie star status before it's too late.
