Meryl Streep has been gifted with three Oscars and more nominations than you can count on four hands (or five, or six...). She has also, despite appearing in nearly fifty movies over the course of her long and successful career, never made a sequel. For that, we applaud her (and beg her not to start work on Mamma Mia! 2, which is something she has legitimately shown interest in). In Hollywood, it's quite an achievement. Streep, of course, isn't really the sort of actress that you imagine winding up in a sequel, given that some of her most famous roles were in movies like The Deer Hunter, Kramer Vs. Kramer and Sophie's Choice - not exactly the sorts of flicks you instantly associated with having follow-up stories. Given her tendency to steer clear of big franchise pictures, then, maybe we should be less surprised that Streep remains sequel-free. If She Had To Make A Sequel?
