10 Actors You Didn't Know Were Coming Back For Movie Sequels

It's been a while since Black Swan star Natalie Portman appeared as Avenger Thor's love interest in an instalment of the Marvel hero's franchise.

That said, the actor has been busy in a string of critically acclaimed indies in the intervening years, and the over-stuffed cast of said sequels has meant her absence wasn't too glaring.

I'm not even sure if there would have been room for her onscreen in the later Avengers instalments, come to think of it.

But the good news is that Jane will indeed grace our screens again in Thor: Love and Thunder, giving MCU fans and cinephiles something to look forward to alike as the filmmakers have discussed the possibility of adapting some of her better known comic storylines into the film's action.

There's little confirmed for certain about what role the superhero's love interest will play in proceedings, but the her re-addition to the franchise might signal a return to the darker tone of The Dark World after the light-hearted japes of 2017's Ragnarok.
