10 Actors You Never Noticed In Movies
4. John Leguizamo - Spawn
Spawn may not be many people's favourite movie, and honestly, a lot of people hate it, but in the very least it deserves points for its utterly unhinged, source-faithful depiction of the clown-like demon known as Violator.
And you'd be forgiven for assuming that Violator was played by a random, extremely talented character actor - or in the very least, it's understandable if you didn't figure out that it's John freakin' Leguizamo under there.
Leguizamo spent roughly four hours in the makeup chair each day, having his hair slicked down, his face covered in prosthetics, and his body fitted into a fat suit to make him resemble the rotund villain.
And because Violator was considerably shorter than Leguizamo in the comics, the actor also had to spend much of his time on set squatting to attain the correct height relative to the film's other characters.
On top of all this, Leguizamo wore contact lenses and false teeth, ensuring that unless you're really familiar with the guy's voice, you probably had no idea it was him.
No matter your opinion on the rest of the movie, though, it's tough to deny that Leguizamo and Spawn's makeup team absolutely cooked when bringing Violator to life.
