10 Actors Who Should Play Batman In Justice League

5. Joel Edgerton

I€™ll hold my hands up and say right now that there€™s only one film in which I can remember Edgerton€™s performance and that€™s 2011€™s Warrior, which he starred in opposite Tom Hardy, who€™s perhaps now most synonymously remembered as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. But, considering I€™d never really heard of the guy previously, his fantastic performance caught me by surprise, blowing my mind in the process. It€™s fair to say that Edgerton still has a relatively low profile compared to some of the others in this list, but maybe that€™s exactly what the character needs, especially if he€™s going to share the screen with a whole host of other performers. And that€™s what they€™ve done with Superman, right? Christopher Reeve was relatively unknown when he took the role in the original Richard Donner movies, Brandon Routh was an unknown before Superman Returns, and even Cavill, our newest Man of Steel has only a few decently profiled roles under his belt. So for the next Batman casting, why not try out a lesser known performer? You never know, he might just blow all of our minds.
