4. Happy Gilmore
My memory is somewhat fuzzy on Happy Gilmore but if theres one thing Im certain of; its that this is one of Sandlers greats. The gist of the plot is Sandler playing Golf (a sport he fails repeatedly at) to earn enough money to secure his Grandmothers house. In the meantime Grandma has to deal with Ben Stiller in a retirement home. This is classic Sandler, the man I grew up watching on Saturday Night Live. Happy's love for Hockey and the testosterone fueled anger that comes with it paves the way for laughs colliding with the serene and quiet nature of Golf. One of the films most infamous scenes is a brawl between Sandler and Bob Barker playing himself. The price is wrong, b****! Happy Gilmore has stood the test of time is easily one of, if not the best Sandler comedy for scenes and quotes like that.
