10 Aging Actors Who Could Totally Pull Off An Action Comeback

9. Ed Harris

Age: 64 Ed Harris has never really been away, but neither has he had a decent lead role in the past decade either. Mostly, it's been grizzly support in the likes of Snowpiercer at best, and the likes of Sweetwater at worst, with the occasional cameo in superior works such as Gravity and Gone Baby Gone little more than nods to his earlier work. One of the biggest roles - in terms of screen-time at least - Harris has had in some time could be found in this year's Run All Night, in which he faced off against Liam Neeson in a geriatric smackdown across New York City. And if Run All Night made an argument for anything, it was that Harris could go all the way and take the lead in one of these things himself. Harris is a great actor who's curiously found himself under-utilised of late, but you simply have to look at the guy to realise he's perfect for geri-action cinema - even at 64, Harris still looks like a dangerous mother. If he hadn't been up against the virtually un-killable Neeson in Run All Night, it's not hard to imagine Harris emerging as the victor.
