10 Alien Invasion Movies Where Humanity Loses
2. Psycho Goreman (2020)
A sci-fi and horror sleeper hit from the last few years, Psycho Goreman offers up gory horror, madcap comedy and the kind of aliens Power Rangers would be proud of. Written and directed by Steven Kostanski, the film takes one of the universe’s darkest forces of evil - Mr Goreman (Matthew Ninaber) - and puts the newly crowned “PG” under control of Mimi (Nita-Josee Hanna), a little girl and sociopath in the making.
PG is a beastly warrior-king from a faraway planet, and scourge of half the known universe, who awakens on Earth with the intention of bringing it to heel, but whose powers are tempered by the gem Mimi and her brother dug up in their garden.
While Earth’s day of reckoning is postponed for the majority of the film’s runtime, while Mimi has her fun and their small family goes to war, PG eventually gets his independence back and things go mammaries-skyward.
When the self-styled "Arch-Duke of Nightmares" is freed from the gem's control, the galactic overlord goes big, transforming Rangers-style into a city-stomping behemoth. True to his original promise, alien marauder Psycho Goreman lays waste to the planet, going kaiju in the final scene and destroying everyone and everything he can find.
