10 Almost Unfairly Likeable Actors

7. Tom Hiddleston

He's another one who's a flavor of the year right now, but for some reason I don't think he'll be going away anytime soon. Tom Hiddleston has this incredibly endearing quality to him, this sense of wonder that he's being allowed to do the things he does, and that any moment someone's going to realize that they've made a terrible mistake and take it all away. They haven't, of course; he's been turning in stellar performances long before he got his big break as Loki in Thor, and I think he'll have plenty more after the franchise dies down. So many celebrities begrudge their fame. They get annoyed by their fans, they dutifully fulfill their press obligations, and they phone it in during interviews. But Tom Hiddleston seems to have such a gleeful enjoyment of the entire job of being an actor, not just the bits in front of the camera. I've always appreciated actors who always treat their fans respectfully, who understand that although they're meeting just one of thousands, for the fan it's a memory they'll never forget. Hiddleston goes above and beyond the call of duty in that regard, and for that reason I salute him.
