If you try to tell me you don't like Patrick Stewart, I'll pretty much just know you're lying. Because you might not love Patrick Stewart, but I don't think it's possible to dislike him. Because at this stage in his life, what can't the man do? He's played iconic roles in franchises like Star Trex and X-Men, all while cultivating an impressive theatrical career. I recently saw him in Waiting for Godot on Broadway, and he was fantastic. But besides his talent, he just seems like a sweetheart and a lot of fun to be around. I think he knows that he could say pretty much anything in that voice of his and it would seem like it was absolutely accurate. For proof, google Patrick Stewart cow accents. You'll find a hilarious podcast in which he helpfully breaks down the regional accents of the English cow. But he's also got a serious side too. The work he's done to speak out against violence to women is commendable, placing the blame squarely on the shoulders of the perpetrators. He encourages men to step up against domestic violence, because they are the people who are in the best position to prevent violence against women and children. And I will forever respect him for his remarks in a speech at Comicpalooza, where he said, "I do what I do in my mother's name, because I couldn't help her then. Now I can."
