6. Rocket And Groot
Using the same logic as the previous entry, since Star Lord will never make it Xandar, Rocket and Groot won't get arrested and thrown in the Kyln. Instead they simply stay where they are, drinking fountains and hunting class-A perverts. This could lead to a Rocket and Groot movie which is a buddy comedy we all need to see.
From the moment we are introduced to this duo, they are very rarely seen out of each other's company. They are inseparable, yet we have never been given a glimpse as to why. We know Rocket was some sort of science experiment, but have no idea how he came to roam the universe with Groot by his side. We know nothing of their life before the Guardians.
As with Quill and the Ravagers, following this timeline would allow us a further look into Rocket and Groot's relationship and what life was like before Xandar and as adorable as Baby Groot is, more of adult Groot can only be a good thing.
This movie would be the perfect opportunity to delve into the past, so there would certainly have to be some flashback or exposition about how, when, and where they met.
