10 Alternative Version Of Movies You Didnt Know About

7. Final Destination 3's Thrill Ride Edition Lets You Choose Your Own Deaths

Final Destination 3 isn't one of the better entries into the hit horror series, but the home video release did offer up an inspired dose of added value.

The so-called "Thrill Ride Edition" included a "Choose Their Fate" feature which turned it into an interactive film of-sorts, allowing audience members to make decisions which alter the story.

As such, you're able to see alternate death scenes for several characters or even spare them from death entirely.

Most hilariously, you can even stop the central characters from boarding the doomed rollercoaster altogether, meaning protagonist Wendy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) never has her premonition and the film just abruptly ends.

This is actually a pretty inspired idea for a franchise that's always worn its B-movie inspirations on its sleeve.

It's a shame the two sequels never kept it up for their DVD releases, but with the series getting a reboot for HBO Max, streaming offers up the perfect opportunity for a more granular and involved take on this concept.
