10 Amazing Actresses Hollywood Don't Know What To Do With
7. Christina Hendricks
Christina Hendricks looks like Jessica Rabbit come to life, which is a roundabout way of saying she's the live action version of the ultimate femme fatale, the sort who would probably find herself seducing Humphrey Bogart and tricking Cary Grant into doing something dangerous had she been born a few decades earlier. But the best part is that Hendricks can actually act, as anyone who's seen her in TV's Mad Men (and, well, anything else) will attest. She's been linked to that Wonder Woman role for years, with Nicolas Winding Refn in particular pushing for Hendricks getting the job, but unfortunately a standalone Wonder Woman movie couldn't get off the ground (that Wonder Woman has finally found a movie, albeit in the testosterone-y Batman vs Superman, is interesting. Not interesting, insulting). An upcoming starring role in Ryan Gosling's directorial debut, How to Catch a Monster a female-centric fantasy thriller also starring Saoirse Ronan and Eva Mendes will hopefully raise Hendricks' status as a movie star.
Lover of film, writer of words, pretentious beyond belief. Thinks Scorsese and Kubrick are the kings of cinema, but PT Anderson and David Fincher are the dashing young princes. Follow Brogan on twitter if you can take shameless self-promotion: @BroganMorris1
