10 Amazing Animated Film Soundtracks From The Last 10 Years

6. Tangled

Spider Man Into The Spider Verse
Disney

Just making the cut at the very beginning of the decade, Tangled has a great and whimsical Disney soundtrack with some modern tones, led by 90s superstar Mandy Moore and her lovely princess' voice, which has since graced fans in the equally musical and excellently told TV series.

Despite being eclipsed by Frozen only three years later, Tangled still has its own beloved songs, such as Rapunzel's 'I want' song (part of the usual Disney formula, but it always works, so who can complain?), "When Will My Life Begin". The best song in the film, however, is one of Disney's most romantic duets ever, "I See The Light".

This film also came before Disney's sudden shift away from mainstay villains, so the villain song "Mother Knows Best" brings the unsettling character of Mother Gothel to the fore, her gaslighting clear in the lyrics.

Other fun songs include "I Have A Dream", where Rapunzel befriends a bunch of ruffians who hilariously sing about their dreams in life. And last, but definitely not the least, is the "Healing Incantation" Rapunzel uses to activate her magic hair. Overall, the soundtrack deserves its place among the timeless 'on repeat' Disney songs of years past.
