10 Amazing Feats Of Genius In Comic Book Movies

7. Hank McCoy Invents Cerebro

Twentieth Century FoxTwentieth Century FoxHank McCoy is shown to have invented Cerebro in First Class, allowing Charles Xavier to discover and locate mutants around the world. This device has been instrumental in the X-Men franchise. It located the runaway Rogue, and it was almost used to exterminate mutants and humans in X2. It recently returned in Days of Future Past, where we saw a younger Xavier use the same set as Patrick Stewart had in the original X-Men films. Cerebro went from the small room and oversized helmet in First Class to the gigantic spherical room and streamlined helmet seen in Bryan Singer's films, showing a level of progression to the feat of genius. This progression shows exactly how crucial the technology is to the X-Men universe, and this level of importance legitimises its inclusion in this list. Cerebro is an incredible piece of machinery in the comics, so it makes sense that the film adaptation would continue this legacy and make it a driving feature of the franchise.
