The other film from 2021 is none other than what may be the MCU's crowning achievement, Spider-Man: No Way Home.

After being framed for murder and having his identity outed, Peter Parker looks to the Master of the Mystic Arts himself, Doctor Strange, for help. This results in the breaking of the multiverse, forcing Peter to face off against foes he didn't even know he had.

Not only is No Way Home the perfect conclusion to what we know now to be the beginning of Tom Holland's Spider-Man story, but it also functions as the conclusion to both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's respective arcs. The movie ties together and pays tribute to over 20 years of Spider-Man storytelling across three separate series and generations without slipping up once.

Through its inclusion of the previous two series, No Way Home is able to get to the heart of what makes Peter Parker one of the most brilliant creations in not just comics, but all of fiction. What really doesn't click until you think about it later is just how flawlessly executed the cross-generational storytelling is, making the movie feel like a genuine dream come true.
