10 Amazing Films That Get Better The More You Think About Them

For whatever reason, Interstellar doesn't get nearly enough credit as most of Christopher Nolan's other films. If anything, it deserves a spot right at the top of his filmography, but not for the reason you might think.

The Earth is on death's door, forcing a team of NASA astronauts to embark on a dangerous mission to the far reaches of both space and time in hopes of saving humanity.

We often see movies like this one as intellectual exercises, which, considering Nolan's other projects, would be fair. Interstellar however is very much an anomaly when it comes to the director's other efforts.

Instead of something like Inception or Tenet, two films that beg you to dissect them like a frog in your eighth grade science class, Interstellar puts emotion front and center. It's not just a film about black holes and time travel, but also hope in the face of overwhelming odds and, much like Drive, doing whatever it takes to secure a future for those we love.

Interstellar is an amazing visual experience, one only made even more amazing by the beautiful beating heart at its core.
