10 Amazing Movies Made On Shockingly Small Budgets

6. Violent Sh*t - $2,000

Violent Shit Movie
Blood Pictures

This best forgotten 1989 horror film introduced audiences to K The Butcher Shitter, a new slasher villain who murders people in horrifying, drawn out ways. And yes, that’s really what they call him.

The plot is pretty simply, basically just revolving around a sick murderer who escapes from the police and kills a whole bunch of people. Oh, and he's also a cannibal. It’s a twisted movie that alternates between being really messed up to really confusing to really boring. But if you’re there for the screwed up violence, you’ll get it despite the low budget, with death scenes that go on for way too long.

But the movie looks surprisingly good, with some shockingly graphic and really awesome practical gore effects. Yet it only cost $2,000, and it was made by director Andreas Schnaas over the course of four weekends. It might be kind of exploitative trash, but making something so messed up and disgusting with such limited resources is still undeniably impressive. And it apparently grossed enough to justify two sequels.
