10 Amazing Villains Wasted In Terrible Superhero Movies

7. Galactus - Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer

Galactus is one of the greatest, most imposing villains in all of comic history, a cosmic god that stands above petty mortal ideas like good or evil, and instead exists only to sate his endless hunger for planets. Clad in purple armor reminiscent of Greco-Roman art and clothing, standing as tall as entire skyscrapers, and speaking with an intellect that demonstrates his vast lifespan, this villain would turn any comic book movie he appears in into an instant classic.

Or so we thought.

Instead, the sequel to the reviled early 2000s Fantastic Four movie chose to depict Galactus as a mindless cloud of space dust that consumes planets whole. No trace of the brilliant design of Jack Kirby, this movie clearly thought it would be taken far more seriously if it portrayed Galactus as a planet sized hurricane.

A hurricane. In space.

A complete waste of one of the great epic villains in comic history, by a studio and filmmaker who clearly held less than zero respect for what they were adapting.
