10 Animated Movies That The Next Generation Will Likely Miss

8. Felix The Cat: The Movie (1989)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn4eSv0Mzqc I will not lie, Felix was my second non-human, animated crush, only to Robin Hood the fox, but it is not my love for Felix that places him on this list. It is his story. A princess needs his help and he, with the use of his magic yellow bag, saves the day. What is so special about Felix over any other animal with a magic accessory? Well. Felix got his start in the silent film era, much like his frenemy, Mickey Mouse. Also like Mickey, Felix transitioned nicely to talkies and went on to his own television show, where he gathered a group of followers who skyrocketed his image to the heights of airplane tails and other assorted memorabilia. He then moved on to the big screen, where he met his untimely death. Felix was the Christina Aguilera to Mickey Mouse€™s Britney Spears. There aren€™t a lot of people under twenty who really know who Felix the Cat is, unlike Mickey Mouse, which is the first sign that tomorrow€™s kids won€™t even care that Felix ever existed. However, Felix is the Batman of indestructible animated heroes and deserves to be shared with younger generations, but cannot be found on television (at least in the USA) and can be bought in collector€™s edition value packs for $5 on the internet.

I am a college graduate of Penn State with two bachelors in the arts. When I'm not writing or performing, I am an SFX make-up artist for local up and coming films in the Houston area. I love horror movies, James Spader, and will watch anything suggested to me.
