2. Best Supporting Actress (Musical Or Comedy Film) Jennifer Lawrence (American Hustle)
Jennifer Lawrence is very much the "it" girl of the moment, with one Academy Award win to her name already, and worldwide fan adoration due to the success of The Hunger Games franchise. Though her performance in American Hustle was rabble-rousing and very entertaining, was it really the best of the bunch? The two it was particularly bested by in my opinion were Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years A Slave) and June Squibb (Nebraska), though I frankly wasn't surprised that the HPFA went for Hollywood's darling instead. I just hope this doesn't help set a precedent for the Academy Awards, because I can't get on-board with Lawrence being a back-to-back Oscar winner for two performances that were certainly good, but not great by any means (unpopular an opinion as that may be).
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
