10 Awesome Actors Who Just Dropped Off The Face Of The Earth

2. Chuck Norris

Chuck Norris Chuck Norris was once an action star on the level of Sylvester Stallone. He's headlined B-movie classics such as Missing in Action and Delta Force. He's best known for his role as Texas Ranger Cordell Walker on Walker, Texas Ranger which ran until 2001. After reprising the role for a TV movie in 2005, Norris essentially vanished from acting. There's no real official word on why he left show business, but it's easy to presume he wanted to focus on more philanthropic and political issues. Since basically walking away from being a sought after action legend, Norris has written a consistent column for the conservative blog, WorldNetDaily. He's also written a few books, worked with military related charities and raised money for and supported various political candidates. After leaving acting, Norris' legend only grew as "Chuck Norris Facts" became viral and books were released containing these funny and probably not entirely false "facts" about the action legend. Despite the legend growing around Norris' personality, he hasn't cashed in on the new-found fame for more movie roles. The only real acting he's done in the last few years has been a very small role in his friend Sylvester Stallone's movie, The Expendables 2.
