10 Awesome Actors Who Totally Lost Their Momentum

While Anne Hathaway's film credits have remained steady over the past few years, her body of work is nothing compared to what it used to be.

With The Dark Knight Rises, her Oscar winning turn in Les Miserables and Interstellar between 2012 and 2014, she had the world at her feet. But then her dramatic roles seemed to disappear in favour of underwhelming studio comedies like The Intern, Ocean's Eight and her most recent release The Hustle, which currently sits at 17% on Rotten Tomatoes. And much like her fellow list member Matthew McConaughey, her role in Serenity became a laughing stock.

Hathaway has much more interesting upcoming roles, starring in films directed by three outstanding directors; Robert Zemeckis, Dee Rees and Todd Haynes. If these movies turn out to be as good as they appear to be on paper, her momentum loss could be a thing of the past as early as 2020.
