9. White House Down

Whats It About: The White House comes under attack from terrorists and only one man is able save the day; a hulking everyman with a history in security and official ties to the White House. As an inside man, he manages to create some progress John McClaine would be proud of, until it becomes apparent the attack only the smaller part of a bigger plan. Yes, it does sound very like Olympus Has Fallen doesn't it.
Why Itll Be Awesome: Except Olymus Has Fallen was terrible. White House Down has a much better cast (Jamie Foxx plays the politically correct President and man of the moment Channing Tatum continues to cash in on his notoriety as the hero) and it's orchestrated by the maestro of large scale destruction himself, Roland Emmerich. He may have created some stinkers recently, but destroying the White House is something hes already done in Independence Day and wed like to think wont mess up this time. And if all else fails, at least the effects look nowhere near as fake as Olympus.
