10 Awesome Death Scenes From Awful Horror Movies

4. Ghost Ship - Razor Wire Goregasm

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22XdYRbFHoE Every horror film needs to draw its viewers in with a memorable opening scene in order to succeed, and though Ghost Ship achieves this, pretty much every single scene that follows seems absolutely lame by comparison. The opening scene takes place on the ghost ship (duh), as a large group of people are partying aboard it, when suddenly, an unseen entity slowly pulls some razor wire taught, causing it to constrict on the entire collective. They all stand still, absolutely stunned for a few moments, before they all begin to fall to pieces, having been sliced at the waist by this razor-sharp wire. The only survivor left is a young girl (played by Emily Browning) who was too short to be diced by it, but she gets to watch on in horror at the bloodbath that occurs around her. It doesn't really make a lick of sense, but it's the single moment of the film that actually sticks in the mind years after viewing; the gore is great, the fact that the only survivor is a child is hilarious. It's a classic instance of a movie blowing its wad in the opening three minutes.
