10 Awesome Deleted Scenes That Should've Been Restored

7. Evil Is An Abstract - Dogma

The Scene: Azrael (Jason Lee) has the heroes kidnapped near the end of the movie and explains by way of a delicious monologue that man's own refusal to accept its own shortcomings and instead conjure the concept of "evil" resulted in God creating the "suffering pit" that Hell is now known as. Rather than have to return to that, Azrael would be glad not to exist anymore.

Why It Was Deleted: Kevin Smith has never officially commented, but the film is 128 minutes long already, and he may have removed the scene because it made Azrael too easy to relate to as a villain.

Why It Should've Stayed In: It's possibly the best-acted scene in the entire movie and doesn't even make it in. More importantly, it makes Azrael decidedly more sympathetic as you can really feel the frustration he feels at having dealt with the decay of Hell for so long.
