1. Michelle Pfeiffer - Batman Returns
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LE3vtU8CZk This is one performance best described as...purrrrfect (sorry). Though Anne Hathaway has received a wealth of acclaim for her performance as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, it's impossible to forget Michelle Pfeiffer's more...out there...performance as Catwoman in Tim Burton's Batman Returns. Here's an instance of a director making an outlandish, loud, silly film and finding like-minded actors who could deliver the goods; alongside Danny DeVito's unforgettable performance as The Penguin, Pfeiffer delivered a gleefully over-the-top performance that allowed this sequel to far outdo the original. If seeing Pfeiffer kitted out in tight PVC wasn't enough to get your attention, then her delicious delivery, sporting a sexy voice and elongation of syllables, was sure to. She took an already daft character and imbued her with an unforgettable, psychotic spirit that made her the most entertaining aspect of an already highly enjoyable film.
