2. Vision Is An Upgraded Human Torch

This particular fan theory creates an interesting link between the different eras of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and potentially shows that Vision was being considered as far back as Captain America: The First Avenger. At the Stark Expo event in said movie - where Howard Stark was presenting a prototype flying car (which, of course, both foreshadowed the flying cars in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and his son Tony's flying armour) - there was a quick flash of a humanoid figure in a glass case which clearly resembled the android version of the Human Torch from the comics. While it was a fun Easter egg, this theory would mean that it wasn't just a throwaway scene, it actually had some relevance. If Howard Stark was creating androids as far back as the World War II era, it makes sense that Tony Stark would have an even more advanced model now - and that there is some visual resemblance between the Human Torch figure and the MCU's Vision is not just mere coincidence, it's because they come from the same initiative and the latter is just a modern version of the former.
