10. Marty Thought Twice About Writing The Letter To Doc

In Back To The Future, Marty McFly writes the 1955 Doc Brown a letter informing him that he will be shot by terrorists at 1.30am on the night in 1985 that Marty travels back in time. This was in the face of the Doc specifically telling him that he shouldn't tell him anything about the future which, in spite of Marty's good intentions, meant that writing the letter was a very reckless move. However, when you see the letter in 1985, it's clearly different to the one Marty originally wrote. And not just due to the ageing of the paper and added sticky tape - the writing isn't the same and the words are placed differently. According to a fan theory, this shows that Marty actually put a lot more thought into whether or not he should give Doc the letter, throwing the original away, realising it could be detrimental for Doc to know his future, and then rewritten it after thinking Doc avoiding being shot was more important.
