10 Awesome Fan Theories That Improve The X-Men Movies

9. JFK Had "Superhuman Charisma"

The X-Men movies have a cool habit of incorporating real world events into the fictionalised history of its mutant characters and X-Men: Days Of Future Past was no different. The movie explained how Magneto had been blamed for the death of John F. Kennedy - thanks largely to the fact that the bullet which struck his head had swerved and only someone with control over metal could make that happen. Magneto, however, explained that he was actually trying to save Kennedy, due to the fact that he was "one of us" (a mutant). This has led to some interesting fan theories about what Kennedy's mutant power might have been, with the most prominent theory being a form of "superhuman charisma" (or even outright hypnotic suggestion) but with the caveat that it caused him constant pain (due to the real life health issues he endured). The theory is based on Kennedy's real world habit of being quite adulterous and it would make for some potentially very memorable moments in any future X-Men movies set during Kennedy's reign (or any Kennedy moments seen in flashbacks or video footage), as seeing his power in action could lead to major laughs.
